You can make something new out of your ordinary pancake recipe to make it more enticing for the kids to eat. We will be adding cocoa for a healthier and tastier version. It’s definitely easy and not to complicated to prepare.
Here’s how to make Cocoa Pancakes:
2 cups All-purpose Flour
1 cup Cocoa Powder
1 tbsp. Baking Powder
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tbsp. Melted Butter
2 cups Milk (add more if needed)
Butter (for greasing the pan)
- In a bowl, mix in the dried ingredients first, all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and sugar.
- Then create a well in the center and add in the melted butter, egg and vanilla. Then gradually pour in the milk. Mix everything until properly incorporated.
- Heat the pancake pan in a low heat. Brush some butter into it. Then scoop a good amount of pancake butter, spread all over to form a circular shape. Cook pancakes for about 3 minutes on both sides.
- Brush some more butter when done and top it with some chocolate chips and a cherry for an enticing look.
Serve and Enjoy!
Note from Delish:
Eating the same pancake mixture every single day can be a bit boring. So here’s one option you can do. When it comes to its size, it’s all up to you.
