You can make something new out of your ordinary pancake recipe to make it more enticing for the kids to eat. We will be adding cocoa for a healthier and tastier version. It’s definitely easy and not to complicated to prepare.

Here’s how to make Cocoa Pancakes:

Ingredients:

2 cups All-purpose Flour
1 cup Cocoa Powder
1 tbsp. Baking Powder
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tbsp. Melted Butter
2 cups Milk (add more if needed)
Butter (for greasing the pan)

Process:

  1. In a bowl, mix in the dried ingredients first, all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and sugar.
  2. Then create a well in the center and add in the melted butter, egg and vanilla. Then gradually pour in the milk. Mix everything until properly incorporated.
  3. Heat the pancake pan in a low heat. Brush some butter into it. Then scoop a good amount of pancake butter, spread all over to form a circular shape. Cook pancakes for about 3 minutes on both sides.
  4. Brush some more butter when done and top it with some chocolate chips and a cherry for an enticing look.
