Homemade Filipino Style Skinless Longganisa

Longaniza is an original Spanish sausage. Yet we Filipinos always create our own version of it. This Homemade Filipino Style Skinless Longganisa is one of the thousands versions of it. It’s very easy to prepare. You can even prepare it at night and you’ll have your delicious longganisa breakfast in the morning. You can store it and it will last for weeks.

Here’s how to make Homemade Skinless Longganisa:

Ingredients:

500g Ground Pork
1 Garlic Head (finely minced)
1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
2 tbsp. Cayenne Pepper Powder
3/4 cup Sugar
1 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
Salt
Pepper

Process:

1. In a bowl, just mix everything in. Ground pork, minced garlic, garlic powder, cayenne powder, sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper.

2. Using a cling wrap, cut into small rectangular shapes, you can create individual logs of longganisa. Put some mixture in the bottom part of the wrap, then roll it up, while sealing both ends. (see vide on how to do it)

3. You can chill or refrigerate them and would last around a week or two.

4. Or you can instantly cook them. Just put them in a heated pan (no need to add oil). And cook until brown and caramelized.
