Wanting to learn how to make pork lumpia shanghai? Today is your lucky day. Other than learning how to make pork lumpia shanghai, we’re also going to try Dolmer Magic Roller to wrap our lumpia. Is it supposed to make your life easy? Let’s get started.

How to Make Pork Lumpia Shanghai

Ingredients:

500g Ground Pork
1 small-sized Carrot (grated)
2 Eggs
3/4 cup Green Onions (chopped)
1/2 cup White Onions (chopped)
4 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 tbsp. Soy Sauce
1 tbsp. Oyster Sauce
Lumpia Wrapper

Process:

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground pork, carrots, white onions, eggs, green onions, and garlic. Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. To wrap. Place the magic roller in a flat surface, put the wrapper, then the mixture, and just push all the way to the front. It would be a bit harder the first time. But you’ll get used to it. Also, at times the lumpia may not be tightly sealed, but you can work it out.
  3. Seal the lumpia using water or egg white.
  4. Heat some oil in a pan, fry the lumpia until golden brown.

Serve with some coconut vinegar with garlic. Enjoy!

Note from Ren:

The only thing about using this magic roller to make lumpia shanghai is they can come in equal sizes. Though at times, lumpia is a bit loose, you can still tighten it up before sealing it. Overall, I think it’s going to make your lumpia wrapping fast and less messy.
