Minatamis na Saging

Minatamis na saging or sweetened plantain bananas is one of the most popular and favorite dessert in the country. It’s very easy to prepare and such a healthy dessert. You can make tons of it at home, put them in a jar and refrigerate so you’ll have your dessert in an instant.

Here’s how to cook Minatamis na Saging (Sweetened Bananas):

Ingredients:

8 pieces Banana (Saba/Plantain)
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
Sesame Seeds
Water

Process:

1. Cut bananas into serving sizes. (it depends on the shape and size you want)

2. Put them in a pot and add about a cup of water or enough to cover the bananas. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes.

3. Add the brown sugar and cook until the sugar starts to thicken.

4. Add in the vanilla and sesame seeds. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Ready and Serve!

Since you all have been requesting for me to prepare easy and cheap desserts. Here’s one of them. Cheap but delicious. Better to use the ripe bananas to get that sweet and a bit sour taste.
