Looking for some pork recipe today? Well, try this mouthwatering Paksiw na Pata dish. It is such a simple paksiw recipe but it will definitely make your day. Soaked and cooked in soy sauce and vinegar, it’s definitely going to make you drool.

Here’s how to cook Paksiw na Pata:

Ingredients:

1kg Pork Pata (Pork Shanks, Pork Leg)
1 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
4 pcs Bay leaves
1 tsp. Peppercorns
Fresh Chilies
1 cup Dried Banana Blossoms
Water
Salt
Pepper

Process:

1. Boil the pork shanks in water with salt for about 20 minutes. Drain the water.

Paksiw na Pata

2. Pour in the vinegar, soy sauce, onions, garlic, peppercorns, bay leaves and brown sugar. Pour about 1 cup of water. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes or until the pork becomes tender.

3. Add in the fresh chilies and the dried banana blossoms. Continue to cook until the water and the sauce is reduced.

Ready and Serve!

I think the best paksiw na pata that I’ve tasted is my mom’s. So I decided to replicate it and I think I was able to give justice to it. So I am sharing this recipe with you. And just to add a bit of a spicy kick, I added some fresh chilies to it.
