Papaya with Sardines

Looking for some less expensive and less fatty dish to prepare? You might want to try this very simple Papaya with Sardines recipe. Many Filipinos can definitely relate to this kind of dish. It’s even perfect to prepare during rainy season. You will definitely ask for more rice.

Here’s how to cook Papaya with Sardines:

Ingredients:

2 medium sized Unripe Papaya (cut into diagonal thin slices)
3 small cans of Sardines in Tomato Sauce
1 medium sized Onion (chopped)
3 cloves Garlic (minced)
Green Onions (cut into an inch long)
Cooking Oil
Salt
Pepper
Water

Process:

1. Heat oil in a pan, sauté onion and garlic. Add in the unripe papaya.

2. Pour in some water. Cover and let it cook until it starts to soften.

3. Add in the sardines in tomato sauce. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.

4. Finally add in the green onions. Cook for about 3 minutes more.

Ready and Serve!
