Pork Ginataan with Kalabasa at Sitaw

Here’s one delicious and healthy recipe you can try at home. The combination of pork, kalabasa and sitaw with coconut milk will give the best flavors on your mouth. This dish is quite simple to make. Make sure to pan fry the pork first so it’ll caramelize and will make this dish absolutely delicious.

Here’s how to cook Pork Ginataan with Kalabasa at Sitaw:

Ingredients:

500g Pork Belly (serving sizes)
500g Kalabasa (Squash) (cubed)
300g Sitaw (String Beans) (cut about 1.2 inch long)
1.5 cup Coconut Milk
1 medium sized Onion (chopped)
3 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 thin Slice Garlic (strips)
Cooking Oil
1 cup Water
Salt
Pepper

Process:

  1. Heat the pan. Pan fry the pork until brown on both sides and oil starts to come out. Set them aside.
  2. In a pot, saute onion, garlic and ginger. Add the pan fried pork. Then pour in 1 cup of water.
  3. Add in the squash. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add in the sitaw. Then pour in the coconut milk. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes or until the sitaw is cooked.
