Sotanghon with Sardines

If you are looking for less expensive sotanghon recipe to serve at home. Then this Sotanghon with Sardines recipes is right for you. You don’t have to buy expensive meat, or chicken, just a can or sardines in tomato sauce and you’re done. Very easy to prepare.

Here’s how to cook Sotanghon with Sardines:

Ingredients:

300g Good Life Premium Vermicelli
3 small cans Sardines in Tomato Sauce
1 small sized Carrots (julienne)
Half Head of Cabbage (shredded)
1 medium sized Onion (chopped)
4 cloves Garlic (minced)
1/2 cup Green Onions (1 inch long cut)
Water
Salt
Pepper

Process:

1. Soak vermicelli in a bowl or water for about 15 minutes.

2. In a pan, heat some canola oil, sauté onion and garlic. Add in the sardines and let ir simmer for about 5 minutes.

3. Pour in about 3 cups of water. Let it boil. Add the soaked vermicelli.

4. Then add in the carrots, cabbage and green onions. Season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes.

Ready and Serve!

This is one easy sotanghon recipe you can make. You can either cook it dry or with soup. It will still similarly delicious. You can use hot sardines in can for an extra spicy kick. You can even add more veggies such as sayote or mushrooms if you want to.
