1 tsp Vanilla Essence
100g Butter
1 tsp. Calamansi Juice
Pinch of Salt

Process:

  1. In a bowl, combine in the condensed milk, evaporated milk, egg yolks, brown sugar, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt. Whisk until properly incorporated.
  2. Heat the cooking pot, set to very low heat.
  3. Pour in the mixture. It requires constant stirring to avoid curds to form and the mixture to get burnt. (so it requires a lot of patience)
  4. When it starts to thicken a bit, add in the butter and the calamansi juice. Still do constant stirring until you achieve a soft, runny texture.
